Hongkong Hi-Tec
Enterprises Limited

Hongkong Hi-Tec Enterprises Limited (“Hi-Tec”) was established in 2001 as a high-technology textile research centre, with an investment over US$10 million. Currently, Hi-Tec’s major projects include direct digital printing (“DDP”), thermoplastic polyurethane (“TPU”) chips, and TPU filament and tape. Most of these projects are unprecedented in Hong Kong and employ advanced technology from Japan, Europe, and the United States.
DDP is a breakthrough technology in the textile industry. By using digital technology, textile printing is becoming more cost effective and environmentally friendly. DDP is totally suitable for the rapidly changing market where customers can establish their own fashion brand name.

TPU chips can be used in a variety of industries. Hi-Tec has successfully produced such chips for the manufacture of spandex yarn and is researching into applying the chips to glue manufacturing. Two of its downstream products, TPU filament and tape, are used in a variety of both textile and non-textile products, including bras, underwear, and diapers. .
